MG Owners support Centre 81’s drive for a new home

Posted on January 20, 2020

A line up of MG cars provided the backdrop to a presentation of £500 to Great Yarmouth’s Centre 81.  The money was donated by Broadland MG Owners Club whose chairman David Johnson handed the cheque to long-standing Centre 81 member Linda Pike and the charity’s chief executive Diana Staines.

Members of both organisations gathered to watch the presentation at Centre 81’s premises in Tar Works Road. Mr Johnson said his members admired the charity’s work for disabled people and their families, and were pleased to be able to support it with a donation. They have also given £500 to Great Yarmouth Big C and East Anglia Air Ambulance, and have purchased a defibrillator for the Bridge Inn, Acle.

Ms Staines said: “This is the fourth year the Broadland MG Owners Club has made a donation to Centre 81 and we are enormously grateful for their ongoing support. Contributions like this make such a difference to the finances of a charity like ours.”
