Pop in a Pound Community Appeal
We have been supporting disabled people and their carers in Great Yarmouth and the surrounding villages for nearly 40 years. And now we need your support for our £150,000 community appeal.
A £1 donation from everyone in the borough would go a long way to helping us achieve this, so please Pop in a Pound if you can. How can you do this?
Pop in a Pound into one of our collection boxes all over the Borough – We will be adding details of businesses supporting our appeal on here as pots are distributed so you will be able to find where your nearest donation point is. If you are a business and would like to have one of our collection pots then please call Jackie on 01493 852573.
Pop into Centre 81 at Tar Works Road and donate. We love welcoming visitors and there is always a welcoming cup of tea or coffee.

Why is our ‘Pop in the Pound’ Community Appeal so important?
Our current centre in Tar Works Road is old, cramped and expensive to maintain. There’s no room for modern facilities, we’re short of space for activities and we want to help more people with disabilities, so we are planning to relocate. If we can achieve this it will provide us with:
- Room to grow and secure our long-term future
- Space for modern equipment
- Training and employment opportunities
- The chance to improve the lives of many more disabled people and their families
We know we’re asking a lot but if you were to pay us a visit and speak to our members and staff, you would realise how much good your £1 would do.
