Centre 81’s “absolutely wonderful” work in supporting disabled people and their families has been acknowledged in a £1,000 donation from the East Norfolk Freemasons’ Lodge.
The money was presented to the Great Yarmouth-based charity by Chris Schei, Worshipful Master; Brian Robertson, Charity Steward, and Adrian Jarvis, Liaison Officer and Centre 81 driver. Mr Robertson said: “We think the work you do here is absolutely wonderful and it’s a privilege to be able to support you. The charity is extremely important to the people of the borough.”
Diana Staines, Centre 81’s chief executive, thanked the lodge for its continued support. “You have been a such a good friend to Centre 81 and I can’t thank you enough for this latest donation, which will be put to very good use. Small charities rely massively on the support of organisations such as the Masons and we really appreciate your kindness and consideration.”
