As a charity, we are always in need of extra support for the work of the centre and the development of the skills of our members.
The centre and its members are truly grateful for every contribution, however small.

Students' insight into world of disability
Seventy social work students from the UEA took the opportunity to explore the real world of disability at a Great Yarmouth workshop.
With other health and social care professionals, they met members of Centre 81, a charity-run skills, training and activities centre for people from the area with physical and sensory disabilities.
The BA and MA students had the chance to discuss with members the impact of disability on their lives. It gave them a first hand insight into the importance of developing good communication skills.
After the workshop at the Kings Centre, the group visited Centre 81 to spend further time with members and gain a wider understanding of the issues they faced on a daily basis and how they tackled them.
Throughout the sessions, Centre 81 staff supported members, helped ensure close communication with the students and demonstrated how the group provides an alternative to traditional day care.
Asked for their thoughts afterwards, one student commented: "It taught me to see the person and not the disability."
